Abstract

Protein kinases isolated from chick myeloblast cells infected with avian myeloblastosis virus were characterized and compared to protein kinases from the virus itself. A strong resemblance between the two kinase types is indicated, with respect to molecular weight and enzyme activity On the basis of these similarities, an implication may be made as to the origin of the viral kinases.
