Abstract
The North Hills area of the Helena Valley has long been inhabited by pronghorn (Antilocapra americana). However, since the land has become subdivided, conflict has arisen between landowners and pronghorn. To increase information on the abundance and distribution of pronghorn I surveyed the area periodically throughout the summer. As a result of this study, it has been determined that group size is larger on agricultural lands (largely due to one particular pasture), but that more sightings occurred on wild habitat. No correlation between habitat choice and sex was determined.
