Abstract
At the beginning of last semester, we were given the opportunity to design a Recreational Vehicle park for the Yellowstone Airport. This project idea was created by Jeff Kadlec who is our sponsor. The purpose of this project is to create living accommodations for the airport’s seasonal employees which the airport does not currently provide. The airport owns just over nine acres of vacant land and it is our job to design the RV park. During the design process, our group started with a site visit to the Yellowstone Airport to learn more about what's needed for this project. After the site visit, the scope of work was created to detail what the project needed to accomplish. Permitting and any needs of the project were determined at this phase as well. Alternatives for different parts of the project such as fencing and piping were then listed. Preferred alternatives were then selected so a Cost Estimation could be completed. A final design was then determined for our project. Drawings were then made in Auto-CAD for the RV park features. These drawings will be presented along with the cost estimation and scope of work.
