Abstract
We use the D-M-A-I-C Six Sigma methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) in collaboration with Shodair Children’s Hospital Genetics Lab to optimize the processes associated with genetic sample accessioning. Failures in the accessioning process result in delayed patient care. We are working to reduce the rate of failures within Shodair’s genetic testing through statistical analysis.
