Healthcare Provider's Political Identification

Abstract

This project is a systematic review of literature involving political identity formulation of healthcare providers. It will primarily focus on critical access hospital personnel, partisan identifications within healthcare, and if there are notable political identification differences between rural and non-rural providers. Political identification includes party identification, but can also include policy specific views, both federally and on the state level. The review also seeks to compare findings from both qualitative interviews and quantitative survey findings. The findings of this systemic review will allow me to identify what gaps there are in the body of political science research that investigates political identification of rural health providers.
