Results: Seven of the eight articles used in this review found that massage therapy reduced the patients’ symptoms of osteoarthritis and increased their quality of life. The other article found that the optimal dosage of massage therapy needed to get the best results was once a week for 60 minutes. Conclusion: Massage therapy has many positive effects on reducing symptoms of osteoarthritis. Massage therapy has shown to reduce pain, increase range of motion, and improve quality of life.
