Abstract

Colorectal cancer is a major public health concern, affecting over 1.9 million individuals worldwide each year. While mortality rates have declined, incidence among individuals under 55 has increased.9 Lifestyle factors such as obesity, poor diet, and physical inactivity contribute to this trend, with only 28% of Americans meeting recommended activity guidelines.3-8 The purpose of this study was to determine whether endurance exercise provides additional protective benefits against colorectal cancer compared to low or sedentary activity levels.
