Abstract
This presentation will be on the Brownfields hydraulic improvements within the Wyoming street corridor in Missoula, MT. The goal of this project is to design an improved water distribution system that is capable of providing clean water to future residential and commercial developments. Project design includes the construction of 11 new water main tie-in locations, 2 fire hydrants, and 6 flowable backfill trench plugs. The current site is an abandoned saw mill with methane located between 7 and 25-feet below the ground. The design must account for the sub-surface methane and shield the water distribution system from methane intrusion.
