This essay is based on a meeting and interview with Mimma that took place on November 22, 2013, in Borgo Vercelli, Vc, Italy. Annita Bonardo, (born in 1920), “Mimma,” participated in the partisan activity of the Italian Resistance as a member of the XII Garibaldi division, 1944-1945.
