Gilman Drive Sewer Improvement Project

Abstract

The University of California, San Diego is planning future housing projects on the south end of campus that are projected to increase the sewer generation rate in the area. The current sewer line runs along the south side of La Jolla Village Dr. and the east side of Gilman Dr. anywhere from 30'-60' deep, making any improvements to the current pipeline nearly impossible. Our job is to design a new pipeline that will provide relief to the existing sewer line and have as minimal impact on the surrounding environment as possible.
