Abstract
People with critical or emergent conditions have limited opportunities to prevent urgent situations, which could put them in the emergency room, and ultimately costs extreme amounts to both the patient and their insurance company. Businesses are thinking of piloting a clinic on-site for their employees where they can utilize a handheld exam kit and app that allows patients to perform guided medical exams with a St. Peter’s Health provider remotely in their office building. Our goal is to make access to care as easy as possible and implement the best process possible to maximize patient and provider satisfaction. By having this system in their workplace, “patients” are able to have quality one-on-one time with a provider without veering far from their everyday routine.
