Abstract

Height-measuring techniques were evaluated for accuracy and reproducibility between observers and devices. The measuring stick method and the Harpenden Stadiometer method of measurement were compared using standard measuring techniques. The results show that height varies with time of day, but that the measuring device used makes no difference on mean height measurements done on an individual by one observer or by more than one observer.
