    Title
Prevention and Management of Sarcopenia: Latest Research Evidence
    Abstract
Sarcopenia is a condition defined as the loss of skeletal muscle mass, strength, and function as a result of aging. Sarcopenia is most prevalent among geriatric communities and can lead to increases in frailty and falls which can cause further health issues and decrease the quality of life. In aims of combating such risks for injury in the elderly, researchers have investigated the positive effects of nutrition and exercise on reducing the progress and impact of sarcopenia. This review addresses the latest research regarding nutritional interventions such as protein and hormone supplements as well as physical interventions such as resistance and aerobic exercise.
