    The essential aim of this paper is to record the w growing meaning of the concept of human rights in the world today. It briefly describes academic perspectives on the universalization of human rights. It attempts to describe the role of non-governmental organizations, particularly Amnesty International's efforts to promote human rights work and influence the behavior of both governments and communities by the activities of its members. Finally, the paper attempts to capture the more qualitative aspects of human rights work and demonstrate their importance.
