dc.description.abstract	This thesis will explore the different models of development used to explain South Korean and Taiwanese economic development and the development experiences of Korea and Taiwan. By examining the theoretical literature and the case studies, I will determine whether or not a general model of development can be created that is transferable to other developing countries or if development is a strictly unique experience
