    Title
A Study Of The Effects Of Ozone And Sulfur Dioxide On Corn And Soybeans
    Type
    thesis
    Abstract
Due to the pollutant effects of ozone on corn the overall photosynthetic activity of the corn is diminished. This is due to a reduction of the permeability of the membranes in the palisade cells by the process of ozonolysis which breaks critical carbon-carbon double bonds in the membranes. This fact is statistically supported and shows ozone pollution has an overall negative effect on the growing of corn.
